About the event
The Wayne National Forest is about to undergo a forest planning process, and what comes out of the forest plan could drastically alter the future of the forest for the better or the worse.
Interested in learning more about how citizen action, science, policy, and community activism shape the forest planning process? Join policy and organizing experts to gain more understanding of in-depth knowledge while connecting with other leaders from the region.
The workshop will feature presentations by: Vera Smith, Director of Policy & Planning, The Wilderness Society, and The OEC’s Nathan Johnson, Director of Public Lands and Carol Davey, Southeast Ohio Regional Director. With a Q and A and netweaving / power mapping session to follow. This event will offer training for you to take back to your home organizations and communities.
