About the event
In February USFS announced its decision to revise its Resource Management Plan for Wayne National Forest, Ohio's only national forest.
The first public meeting in this process was scheduled for March 21st in Canal Winchester. The meeting was rescheduled for April 18th on account of snow.
The outcome of the revision will determine the Wayne's future, including whether parcels continue to be leased to gas and oil companies for unconventional fracking.
This is an important opportunity for public input that may influence how USFS moves forward with the process. Let's show up and demand that the impacts of gas and oil development on the health of our forest, waterways, and nearby communities be given the consideration they deserve!
